ADER PHANOKKOK "Natural" (Light Roast)
About This Coffee
Phanokkok variety coffee or Orange Phanokkok that we expect to be 'Orange Bourbon' is a coffee variety obtained from the Highland Research and Training Center, Chiang Mai University. It has been experimentally grown in Ban Khun Chang Khian area, Chiang Mai province and has been promoted for cultivation in Thailand for a long time. However, due to yield and disease resistance not being as good as commonly grown varieties, this variety is not widely cultivated. Nevertheless, after evaluating the taste and characteristics of this coffee variety, its distinctiveness and excitement were recognized. Ader was recommended by Friends Trade group to try cultivating in Mae Jan Tai village area, Tha Ko subdistrict, Mae Suai district, Chiang Rai province, resulting in good yield. Combined with understanding how to care for coffee trees completely, this showed the slender tree characteristics unlike ordinary coffee trees, and produced orange cherries as expected. Ader then processed it using dry or Natural Process, which gives flavors reminiscent of orange juice, tropical fruits, pink guava, and magnolia flowers.
