About This Coffee

La Cueva, 'the cave,' is a small community within the Tablon de Gomez municipality in Nariño, Colombia. This is our third season to purchase from La Cueva specifically, but we've been working with selections from this region for nearly a decade and they have become a staple of our fall and winter menu. While producers in Tablon de Gomez typically have farms just a few hectares in size, they all preserve a portion of their land as untouchable forest. These smallholder producers grow traditional Colombian varieties and process their coffees in a classic washed method, resulting in wonderfully clean and balanced cups. This season, La Cueva presents a sweet and creamy profile with vibrant flavors of stone fruit and grape.
