About This Coffee
Gaitania is a picturesque village in the municipality of Planadas in the Tolima department. Located on fertile volcanic soils and surrounded by majestic mountains, the climate here is fresh and ideal for the cultivation of exceptionally high-quality coffees. In Tolima, our importer works closely with local coffee organizations and farmers who place great emphasis on quality and sustainable farming methods. This roast is processed using the elaborate washed method: First, the coffee cherries are hand-selected to process only the best fruits. This is followed by depulping and thorough washing, in which the fruit pulp is completely removed. Finally, the beans are dried on raised drying beds.

- Gaitania ist ein malerisches Dorf in der Gemeinde Planadas im Departamento Tolima. Gelegen auf fruchtbaren vulkanischen Böden und umgeben von majestätischen Bergen, herrscht hier ein frisches, ideales Klima für den Anbau von außergewöhnlich hochwertigen Kaffees. In Tolima arbeitet unser Importeur eng mit lokalen Kaffeeorganisationen und Farmern zusammen, die größten Wert auf Qualität und nachhaltige Anbaumethoden legen. Diese vorliegende Röstung wird nach dem aufwendigen Washed-Verfahren aufbereitet: Zunächst werden die Kaffeekirschen von Hand selektiert, um nur die besten Früchte zu verarbeiten. Danach folgt das Entpulpen und gründliche Waschen, bei dem das Fruchtfleisch vollständig entfernt wird. Abschließend trocknen die Bohnen auf erhöhten Trockenbetten.
