About This Coffee

At the heart of this extraordinary coffee is Yenensh, a dedicated coffee farmer from Wegida in the renowned Yirgacheffe region. On her 2.5 hectare farm at an altitude of 2,150 meters, her coffee bushes thrive under ideal climatic conditions. Here she cultivates traditional heirloom varieties - varieties that are prized worldwide for their complex and characterful flavor profiles. The harvest season extends from late November to January and is characterized by meticulous manual work and great attention to every detail. Sustainability is a central concern for Yenensh: she completely refrains from using chemical aids and cultivates her coffee bushes in the natural shade of Enset trees. After careful harvesting and sorting, the cherries are transported directly to the processing station. There they are spread in a single, even layer on raised drying beds.
