Guatemala is a fascinating country with rich indigenous cultures and breathtaking natural habitats. The most striking feature of the landscape are the 37 volcanoes, some of which are still active. These volcanoes are not only attractive to travelers, but also give the special characteristics of Guatemalan coffee. In the Huehuetenango region, there are numerous rivers and streams that make it easier for producers to set up mills for processing. The special geographical conditions promote the production of exceptional coffees with a pleasant acidity and fruity aromas. The variety of cultivars such as Catuai, Caturra, Bourbon and Typica ensures a full-bodied, velvety mouthfeel with chocolate and orange notes.
