About This Coffee
Gesha beans have long been regarded as the “queen” of coffee varieties. (As of today, they have royal heirs...). It’s an ancient and rare cultivar originating from the Gesha forest in Ethiopia. It arrived in Panama in the 1960s and reached Colombia around 2005. This particular Gesha is grown in a microlot. Processing: After harvest, the cherries undergo 24 hours of dry aerobic fermentation. They are then placed in GrainPro bags for 50 hours at temperatures below 22°C. Finally, they are dried on raised beds until the beans reach 11% moisture content.
