About This Coffee

Gondo is one of three factories managed by the New Kiriti FCS in Murang'a County, just south of Kenya's most well-known coffee regions. The factory sits on the western slopes of the Aberdare Mountains, where cool temperatures and red volcanic soils produce dense, high-acidity coffees. The 727 contributing farmers grow coffee on small plots averaging 250 trees. Processing follows the traditional Kenyan method: hand-sorting, two-stage fermentation, extended soaking, and slow drying on raised beds. This AA lot is layered and sweet, with a rich texture and notes of molasses, lime, and mango, an expressive cup from one of Murang'a's most consistent cooperatives.
