About This Coffee

Located in San Antonio la Paz, El Progreso, the Las Moritas farm spans multiple parcels of land planted with different varieties in the rugged Sierra de las Minas mountain range, just 30 miles outside of Guatemala City. Don Higinio Gómez and Doña Aura planted their first Bourbon seeds—a gift from Don Higinio's father— in 1988 and have gradually expanded the farm over time. This lot blends varieties from across the farm's varied terrain, where coffee grows under a canopy of native trees. Coffee from Las Moritas reflects decades of family stewardship and care in a lesser-known but promising region.
