About This Coffee

In the highlands of Lintong Nihuta, not far from Lake Toba, grows one of the most characteristic coffees of Indonesia. The region lies on a volcanic plateau that was created around 70,000 years ago by the eruption of the Toba supervolcano. Typical for Sumatra is the traditional processing method Giling Basah. The word Bumbu comes from Indonesian and means spice, referring to the typical spicy-earthy aroma of Sumatra coffees.
