About This Coffee

This coffee from Peru is named after the Andean Tapir, also known as the mountain Danta. In Quechua, 'sacha huagra' means 'mountain Danta.' The Andean tapir, an endangered herbivore, is commonly found roaming the Andes, especially in northern Cajamarca. La Danta provides a beautifully clean and coherent blend of washed Caturra, Catimor, Bourbon and Pache which excels served black, brewed as either espresso or filter. La Danta is a project spanning the San Ignacio and Jaen municipalities operating at around 1500-1900masl, they place an emphasis on high-quality traditional processing with modern innovations, such as the solar dryers utilised with this lot- this has provided a delightfully sweet cup full of peach, apple and brown sugar, an expressive and accessible coffee for the every day.
