With notes of ripe cherry and citric fruits, this Java showcases the best parts of the taste of variety paired with expert processing. As a small-holder in Colombia, Luis Laguna highlights both agronomy prowess and post-harvest processing expertise with this exotic variety. This coffee comes from our friends at Equation coffee. Each season we comb through the samples they send our way, and we slowly build some regional lots as well as some farm separations that make up our blends. This coffee was flagged for us as a single farm lot, when we cupped this in our lab we separated it out for our first single origin release from our partnership. This is a natural from Luis Laguna. This Java variety is cultivated in the rich soils and biodiverse microclimate of Colombia. As a relatively disease resistant variety, we enjoy Java for the cup profile and the hardiness it provides. Often marked by a distinct watermelon note, Java has been a stalwart favorite of ours for years.
