About This Coffee

Second-generation coffee farmer Mario Fernando Gómez manages Finca La Floresta in Acevedo, Huila region, Colombia. The farm is known for diverse local and exotic coffee varieties. Five years ago, the family planted new varieties including Striped Bourbon, a natural Pink Bourbon mutation with light stripes on coffee cherries. This is the first direct export of this variety from La Floresta. The farm practices sustainable methods: composting for soil fertility, water conservation, and shade-grown coffee to protect biodiversity and prevent soil erosion. Mario actively supports local community initiatives including education and health programs for farming families.
