About This Coffee

Nguvu II comes from a women-led station in the Muyinga hills, supported by JNP Coffee. The farmer at its helm built a collective around her: training, processing, and advocating for better prices and recognition. This lot represents not just a place, but a community driving change from the ground up. Natural process coffees from Burundi are rare. Here, the cherries were slow-dried on raised beds, carefully turned to avoid over-fermentation, then rested before milling. The result is a juicy, fruit-forward cup, offering a vibrant take on what Burundi, and this small producer group, can deliver through process.
