From the Huilan hillsides, Gloria Ortega's washed Pink Bourbon lot captures the clarity and structure that make coffees of this region so widely admired. Grown near San Agustín at nearly 1,900 meters, the coffee inside this bag reflects the meticulous smallholder craft coming out of El Progreso. In the cup, a wash of bright raspberry and gentle citrus give way to brown-sugar sweetness. Structure stays crisp and well balanced, supported by a smooth, tea-like mouthfeel that carries the sweetness through to a clean, herbaceous finish. It's lively, it's composed, it's in limited quantity for a reason.
