About This Coffee
An 11-hour drive west of Ethiopia's capital, Addis Ababa, brings you to the renowned coffee region of Guji, nestled near the border with South Sudan. Guji is known for coffees with vibrant, complex and massively sweet flavors. Ethiopia, the birthplace of coffee, produces some of the world's most delicious lots. In Guji, coffee even grows wild through the cracks in the concrete. Such a hospitable environment creates incredible coffees, like this Grade 1 washed coffee from Sakicha Washing Station. This is a classic example of how good Ethiopian coffee can be, with citrus-y clementine and sweet cantaloupe melon notes, finished off with a light honey and floral finish.
