Aricha

About This Coffee

This coffee comes from the Kebele (district and smallest administrative unit of Ethiopia) Aricha in the Yirgacheffe region. Like many Ethiopian coffees, it is characterized by a slightly floral and juicy aroma. Since coffee plays a key role in Ethiopia, it is the main source of income for many small farmers in the region. The coffee plants grow at an altitude of about 1950–2300 meters above sea level, and the harvest season lasts from October to January. Around 800 farmers are engaged in coffee cultivation in the surrounding areas.
