About This Coffee

Smallholder farmers in Colombia's "Coffee Axis", or Eje Cafetero, contribute coffee to this regional blend. They grow Castillo coffee on their family farms. In this region of Colombia which represents parts of the Departments of Caldas, Risaralda and Quindío coffee farmers get not one, but two harvests a year. At each harvest coffee cherries are picked and processed in the washed method before being dried on tables under cover from the seasonal rains.
