About This Coffee

In Karatina, Kenya, the Thunguri Factory is managed by the Kibirigwi Farmers' Cooperative Society. The factory receives coffee cherries from over 1,000 smallholder producers, who handpick only the ripest cherries to be processed. Once delivered, the cherry is meticulously sorted by the cherry clerk, who ensures that only ripe, undamaged cherry is received.
