Praxides Pintado
About This Coffee
This coffee is a snapshot of place, grown on 5 hectares at 1,845 masl in Cajamarca by second-generation producer Praxides Pintado. For years, his farm focused on yield and resilience, until the introduction of Panamanian-lineage Gesha seeds reshaped his vision. What began as a quest for better income evolved into a pursuit of beauty, complexity, and market-defining quality. This Gesha undergoes an extended 72-hour fermentation in sealed bags to enhance depth and aromatic expression. After fermentation, it's dried slowly over 12 days without washing, preserving the integrity of the flavor compounds developed during processing. We've roasted it ultra-light to let the nuances shine. Expect coffee blossom and rose tea, with honeyed sweetness and bright tropical notes of passionfruit/raspberry and ripe peach, a high-clarity Peruvian Gesha with structure and softness.
