About This Coffee

The Kilimbi washing station is located in Nymasheke, in the western part of Rwanda, at an elevation of 1650–1850 m above sea level. It was founded in 2016 and was one of the first washing stations in Rwanda's history to legally produce and export natural and honey processed coffee. Over the years, Kilimbi became an award-winning station. In 2020, it was the only one producing honey. Around 750 smallholder farmers work with the washing station under the direction of Joseph Ntarindwa.
