About This Coffee

Fredy Orantes operates Buena Vista farm in the volcanic valleys of Santa Rosa, Guatemala. Over twenty years ago, he began his journey with coffee seeds gifted by a friend, inheriting the spirit left by his predecessors. Today, he works hand in hand with his wife and daughters, personally involved in every step from field to processing. On the farm, only fully ripe fruits are carefully selected, fermented in bags for 48 hours, then slowly dried on African-style raised beds for 20-25 days. This dedication to detail allows Fredy's coffee to exhibit the rare cleanliness and complexity of natural processing. We present this lively coffee with a light roast, bringing clean and bright layers: the front notes are golden syrup-like sweetness and gentle toffee sweetness, the middle notes release orange and pineapple fruit aromas with distinct tropical fruit characteristics. The mouthfeel is full and rich, with jam-like texture, intense yet balanced structure, and a long, captivating finish that lingers beautifully.
