About This Coffee

This washed lot comes from the Kamagogo Coffee Factory, one of four washing stations managed by the Kiru Farmers' Cooperative Society, active since the 1970s in Murang'a County, Kenya. The cooperative brings together approximately 3,500 small producers, nearly 1,000 of whom deliver their harvests to the Kamagogo station. Located at 1,800 m altitude, the region benefits from red volcanic soils rich in minerals. The SL28, SL34, Ruiru 11 and Batian varieties are cultivated with care, hand-harvested then processed by wet method before slow drying on African beds.

Description: Ce lot lavé provient de la Kamagogo Coffee Factory, l'une des quatre stations de lavage gérées par la Kiru Farmers' Cooperative Society, active depuis les années 1970 dans le comté de Murang'a, au Kenya. La coopérative rassemble environ 3 500 petits producteurs, dont près de 1 000 livrent leurs récoltes à la station Kamagogo. Située à 1 800 m d'altitude, la région bénéficie de sols volcaniques rouges riches en minéraux. Les variétés SL28, SL34, Ruiru 11 et Batian y sont cultivées avec soin, récoltées à la main puis traitées par voie humide avant un séchage lent sur lits africains.
