About This Coffee

This washed lot comes from the Kamagogo Coffee Factory, one of four washing stations managed by the Kiru Farmers' Cooperative Society, active since the 1970s in Murang'a County, Kenya. The cooperative brings together approximately 3,500 small producers, nearly 1,000 of whom deliver their harvests to the Kamagogo station. Located at 1,800 m altitude, the region benefits from red volcanic soils rich in minerals. The SL28, SL34, Ruiru 11 and Batian varieties are cultivated with care, hand-harvested then processed by wet method before slow drying on African beds.
