About This Coffee

The name Aquiares originates from the Huetar Indigenous language and translates to "land between rivers." Known as "Aquiares Coffee and Community," the estate is the largest coffee farm in Costa Rica and home to approximately 1,800 people. Founded in 1890, the farm was later transformed into a model of sustainable and socially responsible coffee production under the leadership of Diego Robelo.
