About This Coffee
In the famed Yirgacheffe region of Ethiopia, Adado has become a sought after wash station for specialty coffee buyers all around the world. As the birthplace of coffee, the Arabica varietal thrives in the Ethiopian climate, particularly in Yirgacheffe where it used to grow wild before it grew anywhere else in the world – making it one of the best coffee producing regions in the world. Most producers in Ethiopia are smallholders, and the majority continue to cultivate coffee using traditional methods. As a result, most coffee is grown with no chemical fertilizer or pesticide use. Coffee is almost entirely cultivated, harvested and dried using manual systems.
